Semaan Eid Semaan, aged 74, peacefully passed away on March 31, 2024,
surrounded by his cherished wife Samira and loved ones at his
residence in Pembroke, MA. Born on June 2, 1949, in Jbeil, Lebanon to
Eid Semaan and Hanneh Bou Frem, Semaan led a multifaceted life filled
with dedication, passion, and love.

A man of many talents, Semaan was a true public servant having served
as a principal, a respected educator, and a celebrated journalist. He
left a mark in many areas with his social, educational and sports
community involvement. As a journalist, he authored hundreds of
articles and opinion pieces, wrote a book “Raymond Edde” about a
prominent Lebanese politician, and held the position of editor in
chief of Ora, a Lebanese publication. Socially, he was a spear head
with the power of development and spread of social clubs across
Lebanon, including, but not limited to, Hboub Social Club. He served
as a member of several political committees and political advisor to
many current and past Lebanese politicians. He was also the president
of the Sakr Family Association, where he is currently a board member.
He wrapped up his public career as a beloved principal of Ehmej High
School where he helped grow the school and engaged many youths to
expand their potentials. On the family level, he was the go-to, from
his nuclear family, relatives, neighbors, and friends who all sought
his wisdom. His logical perspectives and unwavering commitment to his
beliefs earned him widespread admiration. Beyond his professional
accomplishments, Semaan’s true essence shone through as a devoted
husband, father, and friend. But his most cherished role was that of
“Jeddo” (grandfather) to eight adoring grandchildren.

In his leisure time, Semaan found joy in various pursuits, including
writing, carpentry, farming, exploration, literature, and engaging in
philosophical and political discourse. Embracing life to the fullest,
he proudly embraced American citizenship in his later years.

Semaan is survived by his loving wife, Samira, and daughters Madonna
married to Attorney Roland Hardane and their children Mira, Sophia and
Yvan-Joseph, Zoya married to Mr. Tanios Habib and their children
Rayan, Marc, and Paula married to Mr. Emile C. Tayeh Jr. P.E and their
children Matthew, Gabrielle and Luke. His memory will forever be
cherished by his grandchildren, through his eternal love.

Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects on Saturday,
April 6th, 2024, at Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home, located
