The sanctity of life is one of the most important issues we face as Catholics. It is our responsibility to inform people about the sanctity of life. As we approach the annual Pro-Life March in January, the anniversary of Roe vs Wade, we come together and pray for the silenced children and their parents. The Office of Family and Sanctity of Life for The Eparchy of Saint Maron is launching this Tuesday January 12, 2021 at 7 pm a monthly series of online talks based on Saint Irenaeus’ quote “The Glory of God​ is man fully alive.”

God became man to elevate our humanity and give us the dignity to be sons and daughters of God. This series of talks will help us appropriate what is already ours and show us how to live in Christ. When we embrace our vocation as God’s children, fully alive in Christ, we can work faithfully to uphold the dignity and sanctity of every human life from the moment of conception to natural death.

I will offer an opening prayer this Tuesday at 7pm, then Father Hopkins LC, will begin the series. Q & A to follow. Please encourage your parishioners to join us.

It is with deep sympathy and sadness that we inform you of the passing of Nan Farhat, the sister of OLOP Pastor Fr. Vincent Farhat. We pray that our Lord, through the intercession of Our Lady of Purgatory and St. Joseph, will have mercy on Nan’s soul as she continues her journey home. We also pray that our Lord will bless Fr. Vince and his family during this time, and pray that they will find consolation in the love they share with each other, and in the loving memories they have of Nan.
