Dear Parishioners of OLOP:

Here is this week’s Bulletin 01-16-22 OLOP. Please remember to order your tickets for the Hafli. You may do so by calling the office or Sousous Maalouf.

As was announced last week at Church, if anyone would like to be a sponsor for the Hafli to help with the expenses, this would be a great help and very much appreciated. The expenses are listed in the bulletin.

As always, I thank all of you for your kindness and generosity.

In Christ,

Fr. Vincent

Synodal Meeting Communications

Dear Parishioners and Friends of Our Lady of Purgatory:

Last week I sent you a copy of the Circular Letter from His Excellency Bishop Gregory Mansour on the Synod on Synodality.

The theme of the 2023 General Synod in Rome is “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission.”

This week I wanted to fill you in on the suggested points to explore that Bishop Gregory sent us.

We have assembled a very diverse team to work together and they will select 3-5 of these points to explore. They will then develop questions around the points for all of you to participate in answering. (We’ll have more information on that process in the coming weeks.)

In the meantime, here are the ten points the team will select from:

· Journeying Companions
· Listening
· Speaking Out
· Celebrating
· Co-Responsible in the Mission of the Church
· Dialogue in Church and Society
· Dialogue with Other Christian Denominations
· Authority and Participation
· Discerning and Deciding
· Forming Ourselves in Synodality

Next week we will provide more information on the specific 3-5 points that the team selects.

If you want more information, please visit the Synod website at:

This is an important activity for the Catholic church and we appreciate all your time and participation.

God Bless you all.
Fr. Vincent
