Dear Parishioners of OLOP:
As we begin to prepare for this fall’s Maronite Christian Formation classes, I would like to give you an update on how and when these classes will meet. Maronite Christian Formation (MRF) is offered for our children to continue learning about our faith and being part of a community that shares our beliefs and traditions. The importance of helping our children continue to grow and understand our faith is vital, especially in the society in which we live. All of this begins in the home, and we are here to support these efforts even more.
I, along with the Sisters of Christ the Light, are preparing these meetings to begin in October. These meetings will take place at our new Church hall twice a month on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. These gatherings will also offer the parents some time to meet with Fr. Vincent or one of the Sisters for discussions on scripture and other topics that you would like to discuss pertaining to our faith and our children.
Food and snacks will be provided for all. This will be an interactive and activity based religious education. One that your children will love and be happy to be part of.
Shortly, you will receive a registration form for your children. These will be available via Google Docs or as a hard copy for those who wish to receive them in this manner. If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to contact me. I hope your children will be part of this new journey of faith at OLOP and I look forward to beginning this journey with them.
