On Thursday, October 16, 2025, the Parishioners of Our Lady of Purgatory Maronite Catholic Church joined OLOP Pastor Vincent W. Farhat in celebrating the Parish’s first Blue Mass. Following the Celebration of the Divine Liturgy the Parish sponsored a Gratitude Buffet to thank the Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Emergency Medical Services Staff, and members of the Armed Forces from New Bedford and the surrounding communities for their service.
We’d like to the thank the restaurants from the Greater New Bedford Area who donated food to help make the event such a success. We’d also like to thank the members of our Social Committee who planned the event with Fr. Vince and worked so hard.
Finally, we pray that our Lord, through the intercession of Our Lady of Purgatory, St. Michael, and St. Florian will continue to bless our First Responders and Armed Forces and their families.
